CRCP - What is it and why you should be excited about it?

posted on

It’s here – It’s finally here.    The newly created CRCP exam for AAHAM.   What is CRCP you ask?  CRCP stands for Certified Revenue Cycle Professional.  This certification was created for Managers and Supervisors who possessed more knowledge than front line staff but who were not ready to take the giant leap forward to taking the executive exam.   How exciting is this?   I believe it is a wonderful opportunity to create and promote an educational opportunity for healthcare associates and our members.

Needless to say, I was excited to be asked to take on a new role in the AAHAM organization as the new Certification Chair of the CRCP exam.   While I will no longer be Chair over the Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist certifications, fear not, AAHAM has chosen Doris Dickey to take on that role.  Doris will do an outstanding job taking on those responsibilities.  Also to note, Erin Selin will be assuming the Chair position for the Certified Revenue Cycle Executive role.  Now, you will have three Chairs to assist you for all of your certification needs.

I continue to be amazed by ongoing improvements of the certification exam and AAHAM’s continuous commitment to bring the best in certification to the healthcare industry.  So… I ask that you stay tuned because soon I will be releasing some more exciting certification news.   I know that you will be excited and amazed with what the future in certification holds!

If you have any questions related to any of the certification exams, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Certification Chairs or the National Office.  We are available to answer any of your certification needs.
